Change is constant in this universe. We should not be scared of its essence; instead we should be inspired to value its fecund purpose in ameliorating our civilization. Its significant role enlivens us to conquering more heights, reaching our dreams and fulfilling our destiny for the best thing in life. Change is called to be the evidence of life. We cannot grow as an individual if we will not undergo the process of change. It is not a clandestine for us to deny or deprived of because of its explicit goal which is to lead our way and hitch our wagon to the acme of success. Success brings our hopes for an impudence progress. It is our greatest ally to achieve it. To have such kind of determination for change, we must be open-minded to accept and recognize formidable reality around us. This acceptance opens many doors for opportunities. Let our flambouyant spirits grab it. Then, it will guide us in searching for the ultimate truth. This truth seems clairvoyant to the senses or a state of being. It is the primary goal of our existence ? to find reason behind our life. Many philosophers give different views regarding this matter but until now no one can perfectly presented us its true meaning and essence. Its quiddity is still oblivious for our senses to seize it faithfully.
When confronted with the issue of change, when faced with questions as to the way we formulated or organized it, when in a quandary of what the future will bring, we always take a pause; think and re-think; and look back at how things have been going lately. There were so many questions that bother us of what we must have to do which requires us in accepting reality. Have we really taken the right path to progress or change? Have we really moved towards a common direction? Have we really made sure that in all that we do, we think of the best future for ourselves or for everyone?
In my own little voice, I claim to the world that we are doing well and we actually have such mind set - submitting ourselves for the holistic conviction of accepting to undergo examination of our own self.
The unexamined life is not worth living for. These are words from the mind of philosopher who being sentenced to death because of his vocation and mission in life. What does this dictum tell us about? It reveals the reality of life. It depicts liberation from the slavery of ignorance. It upholds the culture of intellect. A revolt against the deception of stupidity makes it impossible to seek its contemplation as an eye-opener for the masses living in blind acceptance. For us to understand in maximum capacity the mystery of life that we have, we need to examine it. It will enable us to grasp answers to the questions that tickling in our minds. It will distort our senses in flexibility and astonishing realization. By examining our life, we will understand what we are, what we are doing and why we are doing such.
Examining or understanding is a revelling activity. It is a stupendous way of searching for the ultimate truth. That is I wanted to discover later on in my journey to fully grasp my existence living with Christ and like Christ.
An act of questioning is the evidence that convinces me that a person is thinking. I asked questions because I wanted to have answers. As if I was in a deep sleep, I was arisen by the clamour of perilous world. This perplexed reality leads my sight to wake up from my hasty sound sleep and challenge myself to scrutinize its existence.
Out of the juvenile world full of complexities, I am looking forward to think and search what is within me and ahead of me. So, I asked questions. I examined my well-being. I wondered for my existence. Who am I? What am I to do? What is its meaning? Who created that meaning? Does the meaning exist? I searched for the answers of these questions, until now. Answers I gained are indefinite for it continuous to evolve. It seemed to be unfathomable. Identifying my primary matter and of being my substantial form is not enough to attain its main or focal point.
Recognizing my strengths and weaknesses as well as my positive or pluses and negative or minuses attributes can be an aid to deepen my understanding. These are my guides to consider conscientiously searching for interminable happiness and life worth living of knowing myself.
This act of questioning with confidence, grants me to hear a spasmodic perpetual voice of my soul. It speaks of my existence. Henceforth, I am liberating from the chains of unquestioning acceptance of whatever is at hand. I am resisting with those truths that hold me back in the thoughtless conformity. So, I can say, I am free to live the life and lead the world, my world in a vintage deftness of my philosophy in life guided by the methodological and philosophical vehicle body of knowledge.
From accepting the reality of change to the sense of wonder processed through submission for life examination to liberation may lead to identify my personhood. It entails or necessitates me to know and to do something about myself. That is what I am doing now. With my personal conviction and own creativity. I am aiming for the highest intensity for the quest of my identity and purpose. It is a kind of determination in examining one?s life worthy to stand for and worth living for.

Whenever a major planet changes into a new sign, you find that everyone is affected to some degree or another. The energy shifts and a new cycle begins. This month, the energy of Saturn leaves your 10th House of career and enters your 11th House friends, groups to which you are involved and puts a heavy emphasis on your hopes and wishes. Those of you, who have built solid foundations, avoided short cuts and worked hard and honestly will be handsomely rewarded. This planet is not called the father of time or cosmic cop for no reason, Capricorn. Saturn brings you lessons while Jupiter rewards with gifts from learning those lessons that Saturn brought.

American institutions such as American Airlines and Avon are destined to "disappear" by 2013, the investment website Wall Street 24/7 predicts.
In its annual feature, the website revealed 10 companies it believes won?t be around anymore after next year.
Included in the list are the airline and makeup manufacturer alongside the Oakland Raiders NFL team.
Here?s their list:
10. Avon: The door-to-door cosmetics company ignores its core market of cosmetics, the website says. It also recently replaced its CEO and its CFO lost his job over a Security and Exchange Commission examination.
Wall Street 24/7 quotes Morningstar analyst Erin Lash: ?Avon is constantly putting out fires rather than proactively moving forward.?
9. Metro PCS: Bigger players T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint-Nextel are pushing the smaller cellular provider from the marketplace. The stock has dropped to $5.86 from a yearly high of $17.84.
8. Oakland Raiders:?OK, the Raiders are going to vanish, they?re just moving back to Los Angeles, the site said.
The NFL team?s stadium contract to play in Oakland expires next year.?Coincidentally, Los Angeles city council just approved plans to pursue a new NFL-ready stadium.
7. Salon.com: The ?pioneering news and commentary? website is swimming in debt, apparently.
It had less than $150,000 cash to end 2011 as it relied on bailouts from Adobe co-founder John Warnock and investment banker Bill Hambrecht.
6. Suzuki:?A bad reputation (not necessarily deserved) and shrinking market share are working against American Suzuki Motor Co.
While Kia and Hyundai take over the low-cost, high-efficiency market, Suzuki chokes on their exhaust.
5. Pacific Sunwear:?Pitching the California lifestyle isn?t paying the bills anymore. The company?s stock price settled at $2.50 on Friday from $23 five years ago.
4. Research in Motion:?A classic example of resting on your laurels caught RIM looking when Apple?s iPhone stormed the market.
But what happened when Google?s Android replaced it as the No. 2 choice?
3. Current TV:?Al Gore?s network is failing fast enough the cable provider Time-Warner is likely to drop it soon.
If you?ve never seen it, Current is ?the Peabody and Emmy Award-winning television and online network? with ?the very best in political commentary, news analysis, and thought provoking programming.?
Now you know.
2. Talbots:?This women?s retailer is a victim to the recession and a competitive marketplace.
1. American Airlines:?Wall Street 24/7 says the airline won?t emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy despite claims to the contrary.?Selling assets to US Airways is likely to satisfy creditors and unions while competing with the Northwest-Delta and United-Continental mergers.
Last year, the site says it successfully predicted the demise of MySpace, Saab, the Ericsson in mobile company Sony-Ericsson and the A&W portion in Yum! Brands.
However, Wall Street 24/7 also admits missteps.
The site is impressed Nokia and American Apparel are still operating (for now, anyway), although it did admit making bad calls on Sears, Sony Pictures, Soap Opera Digest and Kellogg?s Corn Pops.

Direct response advertising of products has been an effective way of commerce ever since TV?s popularity heightened. As a matter of fact, more than 50% of all consumers claimed that they learned information about some products from watching TV commercials alone. Despite the average 60-second ad cost of about $30,000, many retailers and manufacturers insert their products in mainstream TV for better exposure. And they were right.
Consider These Important Questions
Direct response TV, like the popular As Seen On TV tag, is an attractive avenue for entrepreneurs, distributors and even the product inventors themselves. If you are one of them, consider these important questions first before you launch your product on TV.
1. Does your product have benefits that can easily be demonstrated on TV? If the answer is yes, you can use TV as a medium to make an effective sale. Most of the products that made international success through direct response advertising are those that showcase observable and very obvious results like hair-braiding equipment, a hassle-free floor cleaner or an amazing car finish that are not that hard to believe. The visual presentation of the product?s benefits makes it easier to communicate the primary aim of the item and how it can be used.
2. Does your product appeal to the masses? No matter how beneficial your product is, it should first be something that can improve the lifestyle of the overall society. It should be targeted to a large consumer population. Even if you place your infomercial at premium-priced commercial loads of high-rated primetime shows, you?ll still get a high probability of investment returns because it has a wide appeal to consumers from A to Z.
3. Does your product standout? If it does, you have a better chance of marketing it effectively on TV. A product that works like no other will surely turn heads. Moreover, a lot of people will buy it if there?s little or no competition for it, at least on the retailing level. This is because studies have pointed out that products seen on TV will decrease in advertising efficacy if it is competing against a popular product that is already widely available at shopping malls and other retail stores. Well, many product inventors have gained instant success stories by just setting up a phone to order or online checking out approach. They did not display their products on the shelves downtown but still, they are making millions of dollars.
The Next Step
If you are already sure about your product, it is time to move on to the next step. First, direct response advertisements are better if made not too short. A 60-second infomercial is ideal for direct selling of products. Compared to normal 30-second ads that are purely for lead generation, at least one minute is just right if you want to showcase what you have. Secondly, display a call to action statement on-screen like a toll-free number or web address. You need to add extra seconds for this purpose. Lastly, it is best if you price your product competitively. Many marketing experts say that $19.95 is the magic number for As Seen On TV products. Items that were put on sale at $19.95 had the most success as opposed to more expensive ones.
Know the questions that need to be answered so that you can identify if your product is good to go for As Seen On TV, advertising. Also consider the important guidelines for these infomercials like right pricing, ample ad duration and supplying a call to action statement.

The planet Uranus reaches opposition on Saturday (Sept. 29). This means that Uranus is directly opposite the sun in the sky.
Uranus rises will rise as the sun sets, and set as the sun rises. It will be highest in the sky at local midnight, roughly 1 a.m. if you are on Daylight Saving Time.
Uranus was discovered accidentally by William Herschel on the night of March 13, 1781. All the other planets had been known since prehistoric times, so this was a major discovery in its time, and made Herschel famous.
The reason Uranus had remained undiscovered for so long is that, although it is quite large, the third largest planet after Jupiter and Saturn, it is very far away from the sun, so is very dimly lit. If you know exactly where to look, it is just possible to see Uranus with the naked eye, but most of us need binoculars and a good chart to spot it among the thousands of stars of similar brightness.
When Herschel first observed it, he was unsure what he had seen: a nebula, a comet, or a planet. After a night or two, he saw that it had moved, so it couldn?t be a nebula. It didn?t change size or shape, so he knew it wasn?t a comet.
Once the object's orbit was determined, Herschel knew he had found the sun?s seventh planet: 31,763 miles (51,118 km.) in diameter, four times larger than the Earth. It orbits at 19 times the distance from Earth to the sun, twice as far from the sun as Saturn. [Amazing Photos of Uranus]
How to see Uranus
In binoculars, Uranus is indistinguishable from a star. Look for it currently in the constellation Pisces. [Uranus: Inside and Out (Infographic)]
Opposition night is not the best night to look for it, because the full moon will be nearby flooding the sky with light. Look for it instead tonight, or in a week?s time when the moon has moved on.
Don?t try to use Pisces to find it, because this is a dim constellation. Instead, start with the Great Square of Pegasus, a conspicuous large square of stars. This will be in the southern sky (of the Northern Hemisphere) about two thirds of the way from the horizon to directly overhead at local midnight, or in the eastern sky earlier in the evening.
Use the two stars on the left side of the Great Square, Alpheratz and Algenib, and project a line joining them down towards the horizon. At almost exactly the same distance below the bottom star you will see (in binoculars) what looks like a double star. These will be the two brightest ?stars? in this part of the sky.
The star on the left (in the Northern Hemisphere) is 44 Piscium. The ?star? on the right is not a star at all, but the planet Uranus. Pay close attention to the distance between these two objects, and check it again in a night or two. Uranus will have moved away to the right, the distance between star and planet increasing.
In binoculars, Uranus will look just like a star. In a small telescope with about 200x magnification, you will see a tiny blue-green disk. Uranus has 27 known moons, but these are all too tiny to be seen in a small telescope.
Strange Uranus facts
One of the most interesting things about Uranus is the tilt of its axis of rotation. Most planets rotate around a pole which points roughly at right angles to the plane of their orbit.
Uranus? pole is tipped over so that its axis is almost in the same plane as its orbit. As a result, the sun shines almost continuously on the northern half the planet for part of its year, and continuously on the southern half for another part of its year. The result is the most extreme seasonal variation found on any planet in the solar system.
When Herschel discovered Uranus, he needed to find a name for it. This was as big a deal in the 18th century as naming a stadium is today. Knowing who his chief patron was, he decided to name it after his king, George III: Georgium Sidus (George?s Star). Now George III was not very popular outside England, so there was a lot of resistance to this name. Finally Johann Bode suggested that it be named Uranus after the Greek God of the sky, Ouranos, and this was agreed to by all astronomers.
Unfortunately, this name causes pronunciation difficulties for most speakers of the English language. If it?s pronounced "ew-RAY-nus" it provokes laughter from sixth-graders. The alternate pronunciation, "EWR-a-nus" is not much better. Perhaps we should go back to the original Greek pronunciation, "OOR-a-nus."

European Commission
The European Commission's "Science: It's a Girl Thing!" campaign has been retooled.
By Alan Boyle
It's not exactly surprising that males are perceived as more competent in science than females ? but researchers at Yale University were surprised to find that even professional scientists showed evidence of such bias. Now the big question is what to do about it.
"Whenever I give a talk that mentions past findings of implicit gender bias in hiring, inevitably a scientist will say that can?t happen in our labs because we are trained to be objective," microbiologist Jo Handelsman, lead author of a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, said in a Yale news release. "I had hoped that they were right."
Nope.
Handelsman and her colleagues asked 127 science faculty members from six institutions to review an application from a senior undergraduate student looking for a job as a lab manager. The faculty members were asked to judge how competent the applicant was, how much the student should be paid, and whether they'd be willing to mentor the student.
Each researcher looked at the same application ??but in some cases the applicant was given a male name (John), and in the other cases a female name was assigned (Jennifer), all on a random basis. When the results were analyzed, it turned out that the sight-unseen male applicant was rated more competent than the female. The mean starting salary offer was $30,238.10 for John as opposed to $26,507.94 for Jennifer. Faculty members were more willing to mentor John than Jennifer.
The data showed a disparity whether the demographic category in question was male or female, young or old, tenured or untenured. "The bias appears pervasive among faculty and is not limited to a certain demographic subgroup," Handelsman and her colleagues wrote.
The researchers emphasized that they weren't suggesting the biases were intentional or stemmed from a conscious desire to hold women back. In fact, they found that the faculty members tended to like Jennifer more than John. That sentiment was generally voiced by faculty women as well as faculty men. It's just that the warm feelings for Jennifer "did not translate into positive perceptions of her composite confidence or material outcomes," according to the PNAS paper.
So what is to be done? "Our results suggest that academic policies and mentoring interventions targeting undergraduate advisers could contribute to reducing the gender disparity," the researchers wrote.
The findings suggest that it's not enough to get young women interested in careers in science, technology, education and math, a.k.a. STEM. There needs to be a conscious follow-through by the folks who do the hiring and mentoring.?You can read through the whole study at the PNAS website.
Maybe it shouldn't be so surprising to find out that scientists can be vulnerable to subtle biases, just like other people. Even journalists. Last month, for example, Lund University researchers Daniel Conley and Johanna Stadmark found that far fewer women than men were being invited to write commentaries for the journals Science and Nature.
Conley and Stadmark acknowledged that men tend to outnumber women in scientific fields, particularly at the higher levels, so there's something of a selection effect at work. But they said it was "still fair to conclude that fewer women than men are offered the career boost of invitation-only authorship in each of the two leading science journals." They called on the editors to "extend gender parity for commissioned writers."
Over time, raising the visibility of women scientists (and raising their salaries) will help draw more girls into research and science education. At least that's the idea. Here are a few more efforts that put girl power to work on the science world's gender issues:
'Girl Thing' reloaded: Remember the European Commission program that stirred up a controversy by putting out a glammed-up video about STEM careers for women? Now the EC's "Science: It's a Girl Thing" program is sponsoring a contest for videographers who think they can do better. On the Scientific American website, "Science Goddess" Joanne Manaster explains how to enter. The winning videos will be shown in November at the European Gender Summit?at the European Parliament in Brussels. Three winners will each receive a cash prize of??1,500 ($1,930).
Think locally:?It's worth looking for organizations that are bringing girl power to STEM on the community level. The best example is Sally Ride Science, which thinks globally and acts locally when it comes to getting girls involved in scientific pursuits. The organization, founded by?the late space icon Sally Ride, presents?a series of science festivals for girls?in grades 5 through 8. The next one is coming up?Oct. 27 at Rice University in Houston, with astronaut Wendy Lawrence as the featured speaker. Other organizations involved in girl-power science include?Girlstart in Austin, Texas; and Science Club for Girls in the Boston area.
Women chemists in the spotlight: The Chemical Heritage Foundation's video series pays tribute to seven women who have made their mark in chemistry?? including Stephanie Kwolek, the inventor of bulletproof Kevlar fiber; Paula Hammond, a pioneer in nanotechnology for drug delivery; and Nancy Chang, a successful biotech entrepreneur.?
Celebrating girl power: Today The Mary Sue?is highlighting a series of posters that pay tribute to women scientists such as Marie Curie, Rosalind Franklin and Jane Goodall. And next month, the Royal Society is planning a Wikipedia "Edit-a-thon" to improve the online encyclopedia's articles about women in science. "Female editors are particularly encouraged to attend," the society says. The event in planned in conjunction with Ada Lovelace Day on Oct. 16.
More about women in science:
In addition to Handelsman, the authors of "Science Faculty's Subtle Gender Biases Favor Male Students" include Corinne A. Moss-Racusin, John F. Dovidio, Victoria L. Brescoli and Mark J. Graham.

BALTIMORE (AP) ? Referee Gene Steratore turned on his microphone to greet the captains of the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens for the pre-game coin toss.
"Good evening, men," Steratore said. "It's good to be back."
The stadium erupted in a roar.
Yes, the real refs are back. Official harmony is restored to the NFL.
Steratore and his seven-man crew donned their familiar stripes for the first game of Week 4 after three weeks of replacement officials created moments of chaos throughout the league. The officials ran a mostly smooth and efficient game through three quarters Thursday night, with no headline-making calls as the Ravens took a 23-10 lead over the Browns.
"You know we always pride ourselves in being a face without a name," Steratore, a 10-year league veteran, told The Associated Press about an hour before kickoff. "This will be a little different, but I don't expect it to last too long. And that's the goal ? is that we can let them get through that portion of this. It's happy to be back, it's happy to be appreciated. But then as soon as the game starts, it's happy to disappear again and let the entertainers entertain."
Everyone on all sides was happy to see the familiar faces they usually love to boo, and the welcome-back love began early. About an hour before kickoff, the officials walked on the field and heard cheers from the early arrivals. A few minutes later, Steratore was shaking hands with Browns coach Pat Shurmur near midfield and getting a hug from Ravens face-of-the-franchise Ray Lewis at the 30-yard line.
Later, when the crew returned, they walked on the field they received a standing ovation and doffed their caps to the crowd. One fan held up a sign that read: "Finally! We get to yell at real refs! Welcome back!"
"The other refs just made dumb calls," said Jessie Riley, a 15-year-old fan wearing an Ed Reed jersey. "I couldn't stand them. Now we won't get robbed; everything will be fair ? hopefully."
A lockout of the league's regular officials ended late Wednesday, two days after a disputed touchdown catch on the last play of "Monday Night Football" brought debate over the use of the replacements to a fevered pitch nationwide. The Seattle Seahawks were awarded the score ? and a 14-12 win ? over the Green Bay Packers, a result that Commissioner Roger Goodell acknowledged "may have pushed the parties further along" in the talks.
"Obviously when you go through something like this it is painful for everybody," Goodell said. "Most importantly, it is painful for our fans. We are sorry to have to put our fans through that, but it is something that in the short term you sometimes have to do to make sure you get the right kind of deal for the long term and make sure you continue to grow the game."
The deal is only tentative ? it must be ratified by 51 percent of the union's 121 members in a vote scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Dallas ? but both sides nevertheless went forward with the plan to have the regulars back for Thursday's game.
So Steratore hustled to Baltimore, making the 3?-hour drive Thursday morning from his home in the Pittsburgh area. He's usually in place the day before a game, but none of his regular pregame meetings had to be changed because the Browns-Ravens game was at night.
"Very elated to be back," he said. "It feels like being back home."
Steratore, who is a basketball official in the Big East Conference among others, also was fully aware he would be jeered the first time he makes a questionable call ? just like always.
"Without a question," he said. "I've been yelled at by my own children many times, so this won't be any different."
Sure enough, the same fans that cheered the coin toss let out a full round of boos when line judge Jeff Seeman toss his yellow flag some 20 yards to whistle Baltimore safety Bernard Pollard for a personal foul in the third quarter. Replays showed it was a good call: Pollard led with his helmet to make contact with a defenseless receiver, costing the Ravens 15 yards in a drive that led to a field goal for the Browns.
Steratore's crew nearly made a misstep in the first quarter, incorrectly spotting the ball by 2 yards after a misapplication of the rules following a holding call on the Browns. But two members of the crew caught the mistake and notified the referee before the next snap. A brief huddle ensued, and the ball was moved to its correct spot.
The crew made it clear early that it wouldn't tolerate the extra pushing and shoving after the whistle that had been frequently permitted by the replacements. Offsetting personal fouls were called on Cleveland's Johnson Bademosi and Baltimore's James Ihedigbo for extracurricular roughness on a punt return.
Steratore had to make a trip to the replay monitor for the same play to review a turnover. The replays clearly showed that Cleveland's Joshua Cribbs had fumbled, so Steratore confirmed the ruling on the field. Cribbs had his helmet knocked off and was injured on the play, creating the only lengthy delay in the first three quarters.
There were 12 penalties called through three quarters, mostly the familiar calls for holding and false start. There was a rare ? and indisputable ? whistle for fair catch interference on a punt return on Cleveland, and a hands-to-the-face call on Baltimore's Mitchell Schwartz was so obvious that it drew three flags.
Steratore and his crew set up shop in the designated "Officials Locker Room" in the bowels of the stadium. He emerged about 2? hours before kickoff to talk briefly to a stadium official about the wireless on-field microphone the referee wears. He later held a regular pregame meeting with stadium crew, telling them to "make sure we run this thing as smoothly" as they had in his previous visits to Baltimore.
Steratore then walked down the tunnel and onto the field, pacing the sidelines with little fanfare because he was still wearing his coat and tie.
The lockout ended after marathon negotiations produced an eight-year agreement to end the lockout that began in June. However, for the Packers, Redskins, Lions and other teams who voiced their displeasure with calls that might have swayed games, the agreement doesn't change their records.
The commissioner said he watched Monday night's frenetic Packers-Seahawks finish at home.
"You never want to see a game end like that," he said.
The new agreement will improve officiating in the future, Goodell asserted, reducing mistakes like those made Monday and making the strains of the last three weeks worthwhile.
Goodell acknowledged "you're always worried" about the perception of the league.
"Obviously, this has gotten a lot of attention," he said. "It hasn't been positive, and it's something that you have to fight through and get to the long term. ... We always are going to have to work harder to make sure we get people's trust and confidence in us."
The dispute even made its way to the campaign trail, with President Barack Obama's spokesman, Jay Carney, calling Thursday "a great day for America."
"The president's very pleased that the two sides have come together," Carney said.

subsidiary with "moderately strategic importance" to BOC.
The stable outlook on BOC Aviation reflects our expectation that the company's
financial risk profile will remain broadly stable through 2014. This is
despite BOC Aviation's substantial capital spending plan that it will fund
through incremental debt. We anticipate that the company will maintain a ratio
of funds from operations to debt of 6%-8% and a ratio of debt to capital of
less than 82%.

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) ? The presidents of Sudan and South Sudan signed economic and security agreements Thursday that will allow a resumption of oil exports from South Sudan. The two countries also reached deals for a demilitarized zone between their borders and a cessation of all hostilities that brought the countries to the brink of all-out war just a few months ago.
Sudan President Omar al-Bashir and South Sudan President Salva Kiir signed the agreement in Ethiopia's capital, where they have been holding talks since Sunday. The talks were originally scheduled to last only a day. The sides could not agree on a shared border or on how to address the disputed region of Abyei.
Both sides have been under pressure from the U.N. Security Council to resolve the outstanding issues or risk sanctions. South Sudan broke away from Sudan last year after an independence vote that was the culmination of a 2005 peace treaty that ended decades of war that killed more than 2 million people. But the border was never defined, and South Sudan suspended oil production in January after accusing Sudan of stealing its crude, which is transported in pipelines through Sudan. Border clashes escalated in April when South Sudan troops took over an oil town in a region Sudan claims as its own.
With the deal sealed Thursday, officials say only "technical works" remain for oil exports to resume soon. Some officials have said it will take months to clear the pipelines and get oil flowing again.
The security agreement was signed by the two countries' defense ministers, while lead negotiators inked economic and trade agreements. AU mediators say the two sides also signed a deal to let their citizens freely move between, reside in and work in both countries.
Bashir and Kiir spent four days in an apparent effort to overcome the most contentious issues ? finalizing a border and determining the status of the border region of Abyei ? but failed.
The freeze on oil production has cost both countries millions of dollars in lost revenue. An economic crisis sent inflation soaring and pushed food prices beyond the reach of ordinary citizens, said Jose Barahona, the top official for the aid group Oxfam in South Sudan, who called the agreements encouraging.
"But the two nations will continue to face an uncertain future until there is agreement on Abyei and the other contested areas, and efforts are stepped up to resolve the conflicts in Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile," he said, referring to two areas in Sudan where residents are seen to be sympathetic to South Sudan. Fighting in the region has sent 170,000 refugees fleeing over the border into South Sudan.
Samson Wasara , a professor of economics at Juba University in South Sudan, said the resumed oil exports ? from which Sudan will take transport fees ? would help ease tensions but that the new demilitarized buffer zone will provoke more conflict if the borders are not clearly defined. He noted that the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea has been a source of tension for decades.
"Proper border demarcation will reduce the chance of encroachment by both countries. But in order to do this, the international community must pressure Sudan and South Sudan to agree to something definite. If this is not sorted out quickly it will lead to later tension," Wasara said.
African Union mediator Thabo Mbeki, Ethiopia's Communications Minister Bereket Simon and diplomats witnessed the agreement's signing ceremony at the Sheraton Addis hotel. The ceremony started with a minute of silence for the late Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, whom Mbeki credited with being instrumental in facilitating the talks.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Sept. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --?The rising green consciousness in Asia Pacific is generating demand for natural products, and the personal care active ingredients market has been cashing in, especially with synthetics coming under scrutiny for its lack of sustainability. Customers' growing awareness and affinity for natural ingredients, higher affordability, and environment consciousness is turning them toward premium natural personal care products.
New analysis from Frost & Sullivan (http://www.chemicals.frost.com), Strategic Analysis of Asia-Pacific Personal Care Active Ingredients Market, finds that the market earned revenues of US$116.6 million in 2011 and estimates this to reach US$176.4 million in 2017.
"Technological innovations are giving market participants a competitive edge by enhancing the ingredients' functionality," said Frost & Sullivan Senior Research Analyst Dr.Nandhini Rajagopal. "Following the success of the new ingredients, manufacturers are replacing traditional materials with innovative ingredients; for instance, light emollients are replacing some silicon products in final formulations."
The cosmetics industry is riding a crest due to the higher spending power of the people in the region. As the Asia Pacific is expected to be economically strong for the next few years, the demand for cosmetics, and thereby, active ingredients, is likely to be high.
Meanwhile, changing lifestyles and poor food habits are also altering strategies in the personal care active ingredient market. Premature aging due to lifestyle habits has created a new target group of 27-40 year olds for personal care products.
Apart from these shifting patterns, the biggest challenge faced by the active ingredient suppliers in the Asia Pacific is the smuggling and counterfeiting of ingredients. They are also significantly pegged back by competition from low-priced Chinese products.
As these illegal products evade import duty and sales tax, their suppliers can afford to price them competitively and still gain huge margins, placing enormous pressure on legitimate suppliers.
Countries need to design strict regulations and enforce adherence to eliminate the threat from counterfeit and smuggled personal care products. Further, suppliers could also establish local manufacturing facilities to mitigate the effects of this challenge.
"Strategic relationships between manufacturers will also help synergise their strengths and overcome individual weaknesses," noted Rajagopal. "While vertical integration of industries can result in higher margins, horizontal integrations are expected to expand the product line."
Such alliances have been useful to the majors operating in this segment, and could be replicated by other participants.

(Reuters) - U.S. chief executives' view of the economy deteriorated sharply in the third quarter and is now as bleak as it was in the immediate aftermath of the last recession, according to a survey released by the Business Roundtable on Wednesday.
The group's CEO Economic Outlook Index tumbled to 66 in the third quarter from 89.1 in the second, in the sharpest drop recorded in the survey's decade-long history
Confidence fell to its lowest point since the third quarter of 2009, when the United States had just emerged from its worst recession in 80 years. But the gauge but remained above the 50 mark separating growth from decline.
Thirty-four percent of the 138 U.S. CEOs surveyed expect to cut jobs in the United States over the next six months, up from 20 percent a quarter ago, while 30 percent plan to raise capital spending, down from 43 percent. Fifty-eight percent expect their sales to rise over that time period, down from the previous survey's 75 percent.
The survey comes less than two months ahead of the U.S. presidential election, in which the weak economy and stubbornly high unemployment are shaping up to be key elements in voters' choice between incumbent Democratic President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney. Investors will get a more detailed look at corporate confidence next month when top U.S. companies including Alcoa Inc , JPMorgan Chase & Co
"These results reflect global demand flattening out, particularly in Europe and China, but also a number of domestic policy issues that could have an immediate negative impact on the economy," said James McNerney, CEO of Boeing Co
The fiscal cliff is a reference to some $500 billion in expiring tax cuts and reductions in federal spending set to occur if lawmakers fail to reach an accord on cutting the nation's budget deficit by December 31.
The survey of CEOs, whose companies generate $7.3 trillion in annual revenue and employ some 16 million people, was conducted from August 30 through September 14.

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (AP) ? Vice President Joe Biden made a raw appeal to Virginia's middle class on Tuesday, blasting the GOP presidential ticket for pushing what he says is a blueprint for boosting middle-income taxes while giving trillions in tax breaks to the rich.
Biden said Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan represent a radical and obstructionist brand of conservatism that would sacrifice education and Medicare to help the wealthy.
"Look, folks, this is not your father's Republican Party," Biden said, portraying Romney as out of touch with ordinary people and Ryan as willing to wreck the nation's finances to protect the wealthy from tax increases.
Virginia Republicans countered that it's Obama's policies that will hurt economic growth and kill jobs.
"The president's proposed tax increases will not make the next four years any better than the last. They will only stifle growth and eliminate nearly 20,000 jobs in Virginia alone," said Michael Short, a spokesman for the Republican Party in Virginia. Short argued that Romney's approach would lower tax rates for all and create 340,000 jobs in the state.
Appealing directly to the moderates who decide elections in Virginia, particularly in middle-class suburbs like Chesterfield, Biden evoked his former Senate colleague from the state.
"I would be dumbfounded if former Republican Sen. John Warner said anything like that," Biden told his audience of more than 500 people in a cramped tractor barn at a county fairground. "I would be dumbfounded. I worked with him for 30 years." Warner retired in 2009 after serving five terms. He was succeeded in office by Democrat Mark R. Warner.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this isn't even Mitt Romney's father's Republican Party," Biden continued. Romney's father, George, unsuccessfully sought the 1968 GOP presidential nomination and was governor of Michigan.
Biden bored in on the Democrats' message to middle-income voters, exploiting Romney's secretly recorded comments to donors at a private fundraiser several months ago in which he said 47 percent of Americans pay no taxes, are dependent on government benefits and consider themselves victims.
"Instead of attacking people who work for a living and pay their way, Romney should be respecting their work," Biden said. "When he said it is not my job to worry about (the 47 percent) ... then whose job is it?"
Biden spoke in Chesterfield County, which has not voted Republican in statewide elections in years. But Chesterfield, a suburb of Richmond, is rich in the middle-income families both presidential campaigns are courting.
Recent polls in the battleground state place Obama slightly ahead of Romney. Obama won Virginia in 2008, becoming the first Democrat since Lyndon B. Johnson to gain victory here.

The Toshiba LX835-D3230 ($999 list) is a speedy, if utilitarian all-in-one desktop PC. It may be all you need for shared family computing, at least until Windows 8 touch-enabled PCs start to enter the market. It has a bright HD-quality screen, quad core power, and could be a decent kitchen PC. Other systems have more "wow factor," but the LX835 is a solid all-in-one choice.
Design and Features
The LX835-D3230 is built around its 23-inch screen, which has a 1,920-by-1,080 resolution (full 1080p HD). The screen itself is bright, with a decent viewing angle. The system is a basic, dark grey plastic easel-type chassis, with all the system's components built behind the screen. A single easel-type arm behind the system props the PC up, and allows you to tilt the screen back a few degrees. The bottom of the screen has two feet to hold the system up, with a wide space in between so you can slide the keyboard in for storage. The system comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse, so there aren't any cords to get in the way. Controls are simple: A power button on the lower left of the screen is backlit to show states like sleep mode and power on. The system's front-firing speakers are built below the screen glass, and are adequate for daily use, but plan on using external speakers or a pair of headphones for loud music: there was a bit of distortion at the highest volume levels.
The system has a decent amount of connectivity. The LX835-D3230 has a SDXC combo card reader along with a pair of USB 3.0 ports on the left side panel, totally convenient for people who need to hook up a smartphone or hard drive. The back panel has four USB 2.0 ports, useful if you want to hook up a different keyboard or for printer(s). Also on the back panel are the connector for the TV tuner, HDMI-in port, Ethernet, and the audio-out port. The HDMI-in port can help you view programming from your cable box or other DVR. The HDMI port can also be used to extend the monitor's life. You can simply hook up a future laptop or desktop via HDMI once the LX835's internal components eventually become obsolete.
The system isn't a touch-screen desktop, and while that's not a big deal right now, it will be a big deal later this year when Windows 8 is released. The system is eligible for the $14.99 Windows 8 Pro upgrade, plus Toshiba is currently offering a $15 prepaid Visa rebate for the upgrade. Windows 8 is touch-optimized and inconvenient to use with a mouse, so you may wish to skip the upgrade when that happens.
The LX835-D3230 comes with a full 1080p HD screen, and while it looked great while viewing online videos and programming from the built-in TV tuner, the system lacks a Blu-ray drive to complete the HD viewing trifecta. You won't miss it if you never bought into the Blu-ray hype from a few years ago, but if you're a Blu-ray collector or movie completist you're going to want another desktop with a Blu-ray drive like the Lenovo IdeaCentre A720 ($1,449 list, 4 stars) . The system comes with an IR Media Center remote to work with the built in TV tuner and Media Center's built-in DVR.
The LX835-D3230 has a initial desktop screen free from extra icons (which is nice), but the system still comes with a few pieces of bloatware pre-installed. On the plus side, Google Chrome is pre-installed, so you have a choice of Internet browsers. On the minus side, the pre-installed version of Norton Internet Security only has a 30-day trial, which is the same as the offer Norton/Symantec already offers online for free. Other offers like Amazon.com, NetZero, and QuickBooks banking live in the Start menu. They don't take up a lot of space, but the unneeded ads are still a bit of a nuisance. Hopefully, future Windows 8 versions will consolidate these offers in the Microsoft Store or in a single Toshiba Offers type of tile. The system comes with a one-year standard warranty.
Performance
The LX835-D3230 comes with an Intel Core i73610QM CPU. While it's a mobile-oriented processor, it still has four cores and Hyper-threading so it can handle up to eight threads of data. This helps on multimedia tasks like video transcoding and photo editing. The LX835-D3230 has a quick score of 1 minute 17 seconds on our Handbrake video test, and 3:20 on our Photoshop test. It's certainly faster than the Sony VAIO L24 (SVL24114FXB) ($1,399 list, 3.5 stars) (1:43 Handbrake, 4:03 CS5), which had a less capable Core i5 mobile processor. On day-to-day tasks, the LX835-D3230 got a very good 4,249 point score on the PCMark7 test, which is a world faster than the Sony (2,857 points).
The LX835-D3230 comes with Intel's Intel HD Graphics 4000, which can handle light 3D tasks. Basically, it can play browser-based games and light 3D games like Torchlight fine, but for games like Lost Planet 2 and Crysis, you'd be better off with a discrete graphics-powered system like the Asus ET2701INKI, Lenovo A720, or the Vizio 27-inch All-in-One PC (CA27-A1) ($1,249.99 list, 3.5 stars) . The current sub $1,000 all-in-one Editor's Choice, the Asus ET2410IUTS-B018C ($999 list, 4 stars) (2,992 points), also came in a little behind the LX835.
The Toshiba LX835-D3230 is a good, tractable all-in-one desktop system. It doesn't wow with design like the Lenovo IdeaCentre A720 or Vizio CA27-A1, but those systems are a bit more expensive. Though the current sub-$1,000 Editor's Choice all-in-one Asus ET2410IUTS-B018C system is smidge slower than the LX835-D3230, it's still a more future-proofed system, since it comes with a touch screen and other features like HDMI-out. If you can skip a touch screen and Blu-ray, the LX835-D3230 makes a good second choice system while you're out shopping in a big box store.

While thinking about Trade Business, suddenly your mind strikes about the method of the importers and the exporters of commodities and goods use to finance their business for developing their profit in to multi times of their capital investment.
Trade finance gets into around the world when the stock market has born. Nowadays this really is really the huge additionally to multi-dollar business handling by many people to look for the immediate profit for small investment too.
Based on the planet trades huge amount of goods and merchandise are bought and offered your bankers as well as the bankers are really short of funds to lend money to purchase buying and goods.
Kinds of Financial loans
Financial loans might be anything like housing loan, education loan, and vehicle loan and so on. If you want to advertise one building then you definitely certainly take some aggregate money with you. So you have to approach banks to obtain financial loans.
There is lot of procedures and formalities to be done to get the loan properly. The bank will not sanction your loan very soon because they want to verify some of your documents whether they are original one or duplicate one.
After verifying all the documents they will move on to the next step process. Also they provide certain criteria?s for house loan, education loan individually.
No matter the borrowed funds possibly you have to give your assets documents plus they keep those documents until you return the whole amount lent.

Pump and grind: BMW has recalled, and halted delivery of, some of its latest V8 turbo M5 and M6 cars overseas as oil pump failure could lead to ?severe? engine damage.
24 September 2012
By HAITHAM RAZAGUI
BMW Group Australia is intercepting 20 examples of the latest twin-turbo V8-powered M5 and M6 between ship and showroom to fix a potential engine oil pump problem that could cause a sudden loss of oil pressure, damaging the engine.
Owners of affected M cars overseas have been advised by BMW not to drive the vehicles until they have been inspected by a dealer, and BMW dealers have been told to halt deliveries until replacement oil pumps have been fitted.
BMW Group Australia product communications manager Scott Croaker told GoAuto customer deliveries and the official M6 coupe and convertible launch date in early November are unaffected as the issue ?can be dealt with in a day?.
?No vehicle on the road is affected,? he said. ?It is vehicles that have been built and are either in transit or just arriving now ... it is a delivery stop so the cars cannot go anywhere until it is rectified.?
He added that the oil pump issue was linked to a production batch of engines rather than the car?s build date.
A BMW dealer bulletin from the United States ? where around 696 vehicles are affected ? was posted on some internet enthusiast forums with a list of vehicle identification numbers for the affected cars.

?A delivery stop has been issued by BMW AG to correct a problem with the engine oil pump on certain S63TU-equipped vehicles,? the bulletin said.
?Affected vehicles are the 2013 model year M5, M6 Coupe and M6 Convertible. Vehicles equipped with an affected pump could experience a sudden loss of oil pressure which will result in severe engine damage.
?BMW customer relations is contacting customers that have already taken delivery and recommending customers not drive the vehicle.?
A questions and answers sheet provided to US dealers has also been published on internet forums saying BMW became aware of the problem ?through its quality control procedures? and is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with the issue.
?It has been determined that only certain vehicles produced between July 2012 and September 2012 were equipped with an incorrectly manufactured oil pump,? it said.
